Although Kiyoshi is a modern artist not much is known about him. He was about twenty years old when he studied with Kaburagi Kiyokata (1878-1973). Kiyoshi is especially known for his paintings (and a few prints) depicting bijin.
He was accepted for the first time at the Teiten of 1924, and won with "Kitei cool evening" in 1933. He was a member of the Nihongakai.
