Technique: pink and green glazed Owari raku, with a black tetsu-e underglaze painting, Ø 18.2 x 8.2
Box: inscribed, with worn shifuku
Condition: very good

Shunkei was born in Gifu prefecture. He lived in Kyoto, where he studied Nanga painting with Tachichika Chikuson (1864-1922). Also studied with Hashimoto Kansetsu (1883-1945) and Domoto Inshô (1891-1975).
